My name is Chelsea. I am a 27 year old mom, with art on the brain! I'm a Graphic Designer working at a company that manufactures and sells camping equipment. I have always loved art and am slowly but surely finding my calling in the art world, and it's such an amazing feeling, knowing I will be doing what I love for work!
My daughter, Meika, just turned 8 years old and such a beautiful part of my life! I'm not with her father and have had a lot of trials and tribulations in the last 6 years, but things are getting better and I love her more and more with every day! I find a lot of my recent projects revolve around her in some way, and it makes me happy that I'm able to have her apart of it!
When it comes to my art, I love to try anything and everything! I mostly do a lot drawing, animation style and real life portraits, but I paint, work a lot on computers, mostly photo-manipulation and graphic design (for work), face-paint, make crafts, sew, do photography (which is something I want to get into a lot more in the future) and I'll try just about anything else. I tried doing jewelry making a while ago, but the small intricacy got annoying... I still like making jewelry and the like, but not as much as other things. One thing I have recently tried and gotten into more is Cosplay! I love dressing up and I love anime, so when I started going to anime conventions, like SakuraCon down in Seattle and Anime Evolution, it seemed like a perfect thing for me to try!
One thing that I'd like to note here is that although I've been through some tough times, I've always been an exceptionally happy person! Last year we found out my mom has brain cancer and we have all been dealing with surgeries and chemo and radiation and the like. It has been very hard on all of us but we are sticking together and getting through it one day at a time!
So that's me in a nutshell! I have a lot on my mind and a lot to share with the world, so I look forward to blogging more and more!
